"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” ― Karl Lagerfeld, fashion designer, artist and photographer
ABOUT ME
I first picked up a camera at DuPont Manual Magnet High School in Louisville, KY. I had a two-year love affair with a Minolta X370. While studying photography I learned how to process and develop film as well as many other hands-on darkroom techniques that are now executed digitally in sophisticated software packages. Once film-based cameras gave way to digital cameras I moved with the times and became a Canon shooter. Since moving to digital I’ve published two photo books, published photos in magazines and news outlets such as NBC and Urban Lux, supply stock images to iStockPhoto/Getty Images, had numerous images sold for interiors, in addition to having a photo appear in a textbook on international fashion.
Art at its best makes a statement about everyday life. My photos say something about the subject in front of my lens. It’s a statement that will echo years from now. Henri Cartier-Bresson said, “I suddenly understood that a photograph could fix eternity in an instant”. Eternity is achieved one click at a time.
